How does the BRAS magnetic drive system work?

Instead of a motor shaft physically penetrating the back of the bowl, BRAS uses a magnetic rotor system outside the bowl to rotate the internal auger. This design prevents sticky liquid syrup from seeping into the gear motor area, significantly extending the lifespan of the machine's internal electrical components.

What mix ratio should I use in a BRAS Slushie Machine?

To ensure proper slush formation and prevent mechanical strain, your liquid mix should have a sugar density of 12–14 Brix (standard 5:1 water-to-syrup ratio).

  • Too much water: Causes heavy ice chunks to form, which can jam the auger.
  • Too much sugar or alcohol: Lowers the freezing point, preventing the drink from achieving a slush consistency.
How often should BRAS Slushie machines be cleaned and maintained?
  • Weekly: Disassemble and wash the bowls, tap plungers, handles, and seals with warm water and sanitiser. Always apply food-grade lubricant to tap O-rings and rubber gaskets upon reassembly.
  • Monthly: Pull out and clean the rear condenser filter screen with warm soapy water or compressed air to maintain efficient freezing power.
